Removing old versions of non CS files

How can I remove old versions of non CS files (pdfs, & misc graphics files)?

I can remove old ID files (slowly and only one at a time!!! no multiple select here then!) but how about for other apps?

I can remove old versions via VC admin but this is blanket removal, and would remove ID files etc. as well.

There is no way (that I know of) to remove only versions for specific file types.
