When SP2 for XP is installed it starts up the Windows firewall which stops access to Version Cue. I've opened port 3703 yet it still doesnt work. I have to switch off the firewall to be able to see the Version Cue workspace from my laptop.
Have I missed something?

Yes, WinXP SP2 is in beta. Putting it on a production machine is just
plain crazy.

Try opening port 427 as well.

And open access to port 50700 from localhost. This is the database port.

Good to know. So, the XP SP2 firewall blocks traffic on the loopback?

Not sure, but I think we heard some cases where ZoneAlarm blocked this. So, I think it's worth a test.

With the XP SP2 Firewall OFF I can connect to the Workspace and see ALL of the projects that are in the Version Cue workspace.
With the XP SP2 Firewall ON (and ports closed) I can't see anything on the server. Which is what you'd expect.
With the XP SP2 Firewall ON (and ports 3703, 427 and 50700 open) I can connect to the Workspace but am only given a small list of projects. These are projects for which I already have local copies (i.e. I've worked on them before)
So something is stopping me seeing the coplete list.

You have to open the following ports for TCP:
3703
3705
427
50700
For UDP:
3703
427
We tried it and it is working (saving, opening, etc...)

I have a similar problem and I have tried the above suggestions but it's not working. I turned off the sp2 firwall but still not working. I the project name is not visible through photoshop nor any suite program. I also got this error:
The operation could not be completed. Local folders used by Version Cue for files in use have been moved and cannot be located.
Error Code: -6650

I opened windows firewall and added version cue.exe to the exceptions list. Solved all my problems with not seeing other version cue spaces.
