I'm having problems logging into Version Cue via applications remotely. In terminal I setup an ssh connection with port forwarding.

Via a web broswer using <http://localhost:3703> works fine and I can connect to the Version Cue server. Using the same method via an application does not work? So then I tried the computers IP still no luck.

Locally VC works fine - it's running on Mac OS X Server 10.2.8

Any ideas on what is going wrong?

Thank you - rajiv

Rajiv,
OS X Server is not a supported platform for the Creative Suite. It may
be possible that this is part of the problem. It may aslo be that you
need to update to the latest version of Java 1.4.1 that Apple just
recently updated.

Mike,

Thanks for the information. VC runs fine from OS X Server in the office, also I can connect to it via Safari remotely. The version of Java installed is 1.4.1. I think I may be doing something basically wrong. When using Connect To via an application what are you supposed to type in the address field? I assume it is the address of where VC is located? It does not like that at all - I've tried it in all the applications. So my question now is why does it work with a web browser?
