Q: I wanted to save my
image for the web, but when I try to
select Save for Web... from the file
menu, it's greyed out. What's wrong?
A: There are a couple of
reasons this could happen. First,
check to see that your image is not in
Bitmap, Multichannel or 16bit mode. If your
image is in the correct mode then
check to see if your plug-ins are
targeted correctly. From the File
menu, select Preferences>Plug-ins
& Scratch disks... The Plug-Ins folder
should be pointed to a path similiar
to MyHardDrive:Adobe Photoshop
5.5:Plug-Ins:
If your plug-ins are targeted correctly,
then your Save for Web plug-in may
be missing or damaged. Check the
Adobe Photoshop 5.5 folder>Plug-
Ins>Adobe Photoshop Only>Import/
Export:Save For Web. Reinstall from
the CD if needed.
