I have no wish to use the services provided by the Organizer!
Now, is there a way of permanently disabling the checked option "Include in the Organizer" whenever saving files?

I will resist the temptation to grill you on why you don't want to use Organizer, but ask the question: what is the inconvenience to you of this option being set?

I believe the setting is sticky, so if you uncheck it once it should remain unchecked.

I wish it was, but it isn't. At least it doesn't work here ...

I have the same frustration. I intend to add my photos to Organizer, but not every time I edit them. I only want to add certain versions. Sometimes I'm doing a one-time edit before printing a photo, but I don't want to save the version in Organizer. It's very annoying to have to uncheck that box every time.

That seems to negate so much value of Organizer. The version set capabaility means that you can track lots of versions with zero overhead.
I don't understand the one-off edit before printing. Why save that at all, if you are printing in PSE and don't want it afterwards? [Although, again, this seems a very odd practice - to work on a picture then throw it away ...]

Okay, perhaps printing wasn't the right example. Here's one:
My mother would like a pictures of our family that I took some time ago. However, she wants a cropped version, which cuts out something in the picture that she doesn't want, or that won't fit the photo size that she wants. She wants me to copy the photo onto a CD.
My work flow is this:
1. Go to Organizer, and select the photo.
2. Edit the photo in PSE.
3. Save the photo in an alternate location (since this is only a one-time copy for her.
4. Burn the photo to CD and send it to her.
I do not want this custom version saved to the Organizer. I want to keep my original, and have no desire to keep this copy. Perhaps I do this many times, since she wants several different copies. Why should I have to uncheck the box everytime I save a file?
Forget the above example. What if I am playing around and want to save several edited versions, just to compare them, but I don't want to keep them around in Organizer until I finally decide which one I like the most? Having to uncheck the option is annoying. Why not have a Preferences option which determines whether this box is checked by default?

Actually, I have a better reason for not adding them to Organizer. I can't relocate them to CD in the manner I wish to. See the topic "Relocting Photos to CD" for the details.
The bottom line is that everybody's workflow is different. Don't impose a specific process through the UI -- allow people to work as they wish to, not how the program forces them to.

First example makes sense, but doesn't sound like an everyday occurrance.
2nd example sounds like just the job for Organizer. Just save all the versions that review them in Photo Review or whatever. Trash the ones you don't want.
Personally, I think checking this by default is the only logical way, as most editing is likely to be just "replacing" an original.
