Some PSA2 features missing in Elements 3 Organizer?

Some of the main things I liked in PSA 2.01 were the "notches" in the photosize slider in the Organizer.

In addition I was able to use the shortcut if CONTROL and "+" or CONTRO and "-" to automatically resize the previews to the next size up or down to fit in the window.

Finally there does not seem to be a way to display both the date and the time for each picture in the Organizer window.

Am I missing something or did I loose some of my most favorite features?

Actually just figured out that one of the three I requested above is still there. I can still use CTRL and "+" or "-" but only with the "+" or "-" on the main keyboard, the one on the numerical keypad on the right side of my keyboard don't seem to work anymore .... very annoying!

Anybody have any idea why ...... and also where did my other two features go?

Date and time are both displayed, as long as you have details on and the thumbnail size is large enough. For smaller thumb sizes, the date only is shown. It does seem like there is an intermediate size range where the time would fit but still is not shown.

As for the notches in the size slider, I don't recall there being any. What am I missing?

Yes the little markers on the slider have gone. But I'd say the CTRL/+ CTRL/- shortcuts obviate their usefulness.

The keyboard quirk is odd. In Review mode and in Editor you can use either "+" and "-" keys. I am less worried as I don't change thumbnail size much, whereas zooming elsewhere is much more common.

Michael,

What I have observed is that with a screen resolution of 1280 x 1024, in PSA 2 I could do 6 across in the Organize format and see both date and time.

In PSE 3, even with the Tag/Collection side panel as narrow as I can make it, I find that I can only do 4 across and still see the time.

This is not a killer, but it is a definite disadvantage.

On 1280x1024 four accross even shows the time if you maximize the tag panel :-) (I'd rather have my six across back, though!)

It's odd, the way the time doesn't get displayed. It's not like there isn't enough space, but clear PSE thinks there isn't enough space. Maybe there is some code in there that's supposed to display the date in a more rational [and perhaps more verbose] way, but it just doesn't work.
