I use Netscape for my e-mail client. Since that is not an option in PSE 3.0, I selected the Adobe e-mail system. The first time I used it it asked me to enter a verification code that my e-mail address was accurate. I hoped that next time I would not have to enter that code. I was wrong. Every single time I want to e-mail photos to somebody, I have to re-enter this code. I looked in the preferences and didn't see anything on this subject. Is there a way to permanently enter the code so that I don't have to go through this each time? Or, is there a way to let PSE 3.0 use Netscape as my e-mail client?

Thanks in advance.

It should not ask for the code every time; it is only supposed to do this once. Somehow the information is not getting saved. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I'd suggest calling tech support.

This is happening to me, too & it's driving me nuts!!

Also, I'm trying to send an email over 2meg (which my mail program, Yahoo, allows) but when I do it through adobe, it limits it.

Can I override that anywhere?

Is it possibly a problem with cookies (or the lack of them)?

Alexander.

I was using Yahoo to retrieve my pop mail. I started using Outlook Express to get my mail to see if it would help, and it did. Now it doesn't ask me to verify each time.

Wonder if that's something they can fix?

It not only has made me verify every single time, it won't even send anything from this computer after I do verify. I use The Bat as my email client. Every other windows program, even MS stuff, recognizes it as my default mail client. Elements 2 used it fine. Elements 3 rarely mails anything (from this pc, never has one thing been mailed, it just sits there), and from the laptop sometimes it will mail. Both are XP with 512mb of ram on SP1.

I also couldn't make it work when I set up an account in Outlook or Outlook Express either one on here. The laptop will work with Outlook.

Hello Brett,
I usually use Microsoft Outlook as my email client, but I just tried using Adobe Email functionality. What I have observed is that whenever I use my india.com or hotmail.com ID then it prompts me for the code everytime but if I use Yahoo.com ID then entering code only once works fine.

I am not sure if this is related to any cookie setting or not.
You may try using a different email server such as Yahoo and see if you are still prompted for code every time

Please let us know if that solves your problem

Thanks
- Sachin

Sachin-

Ok, I'll give that a try tonight when I get home. However, if Adobe is listening, this isn't going to solve the problem, because I don't use Hotmail, Yahoo and or of those free web-based e-mail programs. I use my own POP3 account linked to my domain. So, there shouldn't be any cookies or anything causing problems.

Adobe, please fix this with a patch or update soon, please.

Ok, I tried it with Hotmail and it works. It only asked me to verify the account once. However, if I go back to my POP3 account, it asks me to verify it every time. While theoretically I *could* use Hotmail and avoid this problem, why on earth would I want to do that? I have a fantastic POP3 account that I've been using for years that all my friends and family know about, and I don't want to start sending e-mail from Hotmail just to send people photos. Besides, my POP3 account doesn't have advertising like Hotmail, and is linked to my Blackberry. I don't want to switch. This has got to be an easily fixable bug. Again, please fix this Adobe.

Hey guys:

Can you check it again to verify if this works fine now. It should not be asking the verification code more than once.

Thanks
Nandan

Nandan-

Sure, I can check it again when I get home tonight, but what's changed? Why would it just all of sudden starting working if there hasn't been a patch or an upgrade? This makes no sense.

Hi Brett,

It makes perfect sense if there was nothing wrong with Photoshop Elements in the first place :)

In other words the problem was not in the program itself, it was on the server side.

Danny-

Ok, well, my knowledge of servers and things is pretty nonexistent, so I'll take your word for it. I'll check and see if it works when I get home.
