I guess I made a mistake by buying Adobe PS Elements 3. Never used any photoshop's before. Only worked with Windows "My Pictures" and HP express. So I am way out of my leauge but willing to learn. The demo on this site made it look so easy "just click" it said. Ha! Anyway, I am going to find a good book for beginners and slogh my way through it. All I really want to do is remove red eye, take arms and parts I don't want out of pics, add some capitons and crop. I am retired so I have time to learn. Any suggestions? Thank you. Penny

You have posted on the Feature Request area. But never mind, the good news is that you have come to the right forum and you will find help here.

If you want a good book, take a look at this one: <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0596004532/qid=1116011925/sr=8-1/ref=pd_csp_1/104-4687706-9175969?v=glance&s=books&n=507846>

I'm assuming you're in the US, but regardless this should get you on course.

Penny,

I think that a turorial would probably help you. Try this site, follow the link and then scroll down the page until you see Pre Beginner ... don't worry about it being for Elements 2 ... you will find a lot of basic information:

<http://www.arraich.com/elements/psE_intro.htm>

Don't forget that there is always someone on this site who will help you :)

I downloaded the trial version of Photoshop Elements 3.0. I use Mac OS 10.2..8 and have 384 MB of RAM. Don't know why it crashes each time in the middle of usage. The crash log is 6 pages long, but the first part says:
PhotoShop Elements 3.0 Crash Log
Date/Time: 2005-05-23 19:23:33 -0700
OS Version: 10.2.8 (Build 6R73)
Host: (me) -Computer.local.
Command: Photoshop Elements 3
PID: 486
Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x00000140

I thought I'd update my PE 2.0 to 3.0, but without tech support available, I can only conclude that 3.0 does not work on Mac OS 10.2.8
Am I wrong?

Vince,

You really need to repost this in the main forum ... you have posted it in the Elements features request section so not many people are going to see it here.

Elements does indeed work on 10.2.8 ... and if you repost your message on the main forum hopefully someone will be able to help.

Wendy
