Default Open/Save in Folder

Everytime I get photos from a folder, PS3 open to My Pictures folder. This is very anoying. I want to tell PS3 to get photos from D:\digitalpictures and have it open that folder each time.

I am puzzled. I just did a Get Photos in the Organizer (Photo Broswer) by clicking on the Camera icon then choosing From Files and Folders. The Look In box of the next screen pointed to the last folder from which I had previously done a Get Photos. This folder is not under My Pictures.

So my results seem different than yours - but I do not immeidately know why.

I assume John was talking about Editor. If you use Organizer, you'd never notice this functionality.

I just checked Editor and it opens the Desktop when I do File/Open.

PSE2 defaults to the last file you opened when you do File>Open ... so does Photoshop. They also keep the settings when you close and reopen the program.

Does PSE3 do something different?

Looks like PSE 3 Editor does work the same way. I never really paid a lot of attention as I just about never use File/Open.

I wonder what the OP is actually saying ...

This was my fault. Everything seems to work now that I changed my Saved Files folder in preferences. Thanks.
