Watch out for sharpening in ACR it puts a heavy black jaggy line around edges with my S-2 Fuji. The Fuji converter on the other hand appears to work more in the highlight to midtone contrast range to sharpen. Sharpening in Photoshop doesn't produce the jaggies near as much but is less desireable than Fuji sharpening. I have noticed people saying that Fuji sharpening wasn't enough for them and I agree that on screen they look that way a bit, but when printed on my Epson 7500 they win over the other methods.

Outside - always. Unless you are looking for speed and maximum sharpness and detail are not a criteria. Fuji EX is much better in this regard, although 11 times slower than Adobe Camera Raw.

OTH, I find that sharpening in ACR for Canon D60 and 10D works very well indeed (unless the file is going to be heavily post-processed).
