When I open the raw file, is there any automatic/optimum processing applied in image preview?

I find the noise is decreased before any change of the default setting 'as shot'.

Is any aspect such as exposure, brightness, shadows, contrast and sharpness already applied and optimised once I open the raw file in default mode 'as shot'?

Please assist.

Those controls are all just set at defaults upon open, and all of them you can tailor to your liking. You can also set up new defaults for your camera should you for example want Contrast set to 60 instead of 50. So yes, there is some correction applied to the image based on the settings of these controls, but they are just defaults.

Thank your reply.

I would like to know whether the default value for different camera models is different?

The only values that are dependent on the camera model are the Temperature and Tint controls.
