Hi Mike-

Your memory configuration seems fine, tho' you should make sure that Encore 2.0 is the only app running when you open the 1.5 project.

If these are subtitles you imported from a script, the quickest way around this is to save a copy of the 1.5 project with no subtitles and re-import them in 2.0.

However, if these are clips you've created or extensively edited in Encore you'll need to play around a bit to see which clips are causing the memory error on conversion. Here's a few suggestions (make sure you try each of these on a copy of the your 1.5 project):

- Take the video and audio assets offline and try opening the 1.5 project in 2.0 again. If the subtitle conversion works, save the project and bring the media back online.

- Save a copy of the 1.5 project with no video or audio clips in the timeline. If that works, save it and edit the video and audio clips back into the timeline.

- Select all the subtitle clips in the 1.5 project and set them to a generic font like Verdana. I'd also turn off any of the other formatting attributes in the Character tab, especially Faux Bold and Faux Italics which can be memory intensive.

- If you still have no luck, delete an entire subtitle track from your Encore 1.5 project. If it opens in 2.0 without error, the problem may lie in some of the subtitles in that track. Make another copy of the 1.5 project and delete half the subtitle clips in the 2nd track and try the conversion again. If that works, try another version and only delete 1/4 of the subtitle clips in the 2nd track. Keep repeating this until the error reappears. This will give you a rough idea where the problematic subtitle clips are located, and hopefully you can just recreate these in 2.0.

Hope this helps,
