I'm so sorry to see that again there's no "subtitles export" option.
I consider this very important as i would never type subtitles into Encore risking to lose hours of typing if the progject fails.
what about using a txt file for saving subtitles?
thanx

I have the same issue with EncoreDVD2.
I made a PAL project with a lot of subtitles and now I would like to create the same project but in NTSC.
How can I import, in my NTSC project, all subtitles that I generated for my first PAL project?
Any help would be very apreciated.

The main issue you're going to have is not so much the lack of export options, but even if you could export the script it would be useless as the frame rates are completely different for NTSC to PAL.
Also, the colon/semicolon is different.
Your best option is to use a free tool called "Subtitle Creator", and do this part outside of Encore, and import the finished script into Encore.
Grab yourself a copy at <http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=120228&package_id=130981>

Thanks for your reply. To make the subtitles was a huge job, I am not so satisfied to have to rewrite all the texts.
Thanks

Sorry, but if you need the same titles for both PAL & NTSC versions, then you really should rewrite it all as a text file.
It's faster in the long run.
The problem is because PAL uses 25 fps, NTSC uses 30 fps.
Additionally, a script for PAL will not work in NTSC, as the : or ; is different too.

Neil
If the subtitles are set for PAL with 25 frames per sec it should be theroretically possible to do a "search and change" option to a text file on the colon / semicolon option

I think we went away from my original post ...
the point was the lack of Encore2 to export to txt, cvs, etc files or whatever.
My opinion is that as it works I would never type subtitles in encore2. I've already had big problems with 1.5: after hours of subtitles typing it started to have some weird problem and when I decided to move to external subtitle program I had to re type everything.
here is my idea
thanx

Good Point.
An editor such as Textpad will do this easily.
