Re: Acrobat 6.0 Uninstaller
Off the subject (maybe) but seems like you might be just the person to help. I recently installed the Adobe Creative Suite bundle--all programs work fine except Adobe Acrobat. I cannot get the program to open, and get this message when I try:
ResoursMismatch
Hope that you know what I should do--reinstalling is not an option right now.
Thanks.

Re: Acrobat 6.0 Uninstaller
Hello,
I removed Adobe 6 with this program, and now I can't re-install it — every time I try to drag the Acrobat folder to my Applications folder (as it instructs me to) I get an error message that my "Applications folder cannot be modified." Any suggestions?

Re: Acrobat 6.0 Uninstaller
Jon,
Sounds like you don't have administrative rights. If you do have
administrative rights, run Disk Utility to fix permissions. Then reboot.

Re: Acrobat 6.0 Uninstaller
That's exactly what I could see did Nathan answer this question?

Re: Acrobat 6.0 Uninstaller
Hi, just a bit of praise here... This uninstaller is the best thing since sliced bread... I've had so much trouble installing Acrobat 6.x with Tiger and 10.3.9 that it's made my life a lot easier. I highly recommend it for systems like mine: Powerbook 15", 1.25 Ghz and Tiger.
Cheers and thanks for this piece of code, JP
ps. Why doesn't Adobe, if they can't provide us with updates that work, at least give us an uninstaller?

Re: Acrobat 6.0 Uninstaller
Maybe so, but if Adobe thinks I'm going to upgrade just to get an unistaler, they're being pretty stupid...
Seriously, I've wasted so much time trying to get the PDFMaker to work that I'm quite bad. I'd switch to Macromedia, but that's Adobe now too... :-(

Re: Acrobat 6.0 Uninstaller
Nathan, Thank you so much for this code. When I installed 6 on our 10.2.8 in order to read a government document, Classic would not open, which includes our (old) database and accounting programs. Now, do you have a script to remove Reader 7. I have dragged the Reader 7 download.pkg into the trash, but the trash can't be emptied because many part of it are locked. I'd like to be shut of the whole thing. Thanks again for keeping us old Macies alive. Dorothy

Re: Acrobat 6.0 Uninstaller
Dorothy,
Acrobat 7 comes with its own uninstaller. You can find it in the Acrobat
directory.
