Default adobe pdf creation cannot continue becauseacrobat is not activated

This error has occurred multiple times using different applications. For example trying to create a pdf document while using Quickbooks, Netscape, Internet explorer, AutoCad, Outlook, etc. When printing to pdf the following error is generated: "Adobe pdf creation cannot continue because acrobat is not activated." I am using Windows XP and Adobe Professional 8. The product has been activated.

In addition the only way I found to fix this problem is to deactivate and uninstall the product then reinstall and reactivate. This takes time and is rather annoying to do every week.

I'm getting the same error, trying to save data files from a particular web site. Otherwise, I can create PDF's from all kinds of other sources without the problem.

I am using XP. Adobe Professional 8 malfunctions as described above in all applications.

XP for me, IE 6.0.2900. No problems whatsoever on prior versions of Acrobat Pro.

Me too in some applications but not all. But I get the warning and then it just carries on as normal and produces the PDF file.

I'm using XP with all upgrades and Acrobat 8 Standard and get the same problem "Cannot continue...not activated" regularly. Rather than deactivate, deinstall, and reinstall, I find I can run the "Repair Acrobat Installation" choice from the Acrobat Menu. That requires a reboot but at least it only takes about 5 minutes start to finish. Things work fine then until some random time later (it may have to do with additional reboots -- haven't figured that out yet).
