This is more of a Windows question than an Adobe Audition question. AA3 is actually perfectly able to use (record and playback) the E-MU ASIO AND the E-MU DSP using the non-ASIO Windows selection. But for some reason, I can't get Windows (XP Home) itself to recognize E-MU E-DSP as its default "recording" mic. All this is so I can use a program called JING to make short screen videos. When I go to Control Panel and Audio and select the E-DSP for my recording device, Windows shows the volume slider as grayed out. When I go to the "voice" tab, there is a "test hardware" button that allows you to test-record your voice. That doesn't work either. I get an error saying no signal was detected, or some such thing.
I have all the newest drivers, firmware, and Patchmix versions loaded. Can anyone shed any light?
