Hi,

I am having an issue with Adobe distiller version 4.0 running as a service on a physical WIN2K3 box, spec below

HP DL380G5 Quad 2.00ghz intel Xeon 5130
4GB RAM

I have setup watched folders so distiller can run in the background and distill Postscript files.

The service starts ok but does not distill files in the watched folders and when I try to open another instance of the application I get the error

Distiller cannot create startup mutex.
Error:5

I have tested this on a virtual machine that is on the same physical hardware and windows build. I have a feeling it has something to do with the CPU and the fact it doesn't like the quad core?

Any ideas?

Is this the Distiller Server product? If not, it isn't for server use.
It is a single user product, not for networking.

Wouldn't make a difference really. As far as I can tell, there isn't any difference in Distiller or Distiller Server. That being the case I think this developer doc pretty much sums it up.
